The first half doesn't define you. The second half does.

Welcome to mine.

Meet the Photographer (she/her)
Hey, my name is Anna Higham.
For more than a decade, I worked as a breast surgical oncologist, helping patients navigate some of the most challenging moments of their lives. It was an incredible privilege and a career that shaped who I am.
After several years of spine surgeries and health challenges, I reached a crossroads in 2025. It was time to step away from the operating room and begin a new chapter. I put down the scalpel and picked up a camera.
What began as a creative outlet quickly became something much more meaningful.
Today, through The Second Half Photography, I have the privilege of documenting athletes, dancers, seniors, families, and the moments that matter most to them. Whether it's the determination of a swimmer on the starting block, the elegance of a dancer on stage, the confidence of a senior preparing for graduation, or the joy of a child simply being themselves, I strive to create images that help people feel seen and celebrated.
My approach to photography is rooted in the same principles that guided me in medicine: focus, precision, attention to detail, and genuine care for the people in front of me.
Most days you'll find me on the sidelines of a game, at a dance recital, or chasing the next great moment with my camera in hand. Along the way, I've discovered that some of life's most meaningful moments happen not in the extraordinary, but in the everyday moments we share with our families, teammates, and communities.
The Second Half Photography is built on the belief that every story deserves to be remembered, every achievement deserves to be celebrated, and every person deserves to see themselves at their very best.
Here's to fresh starts, unexpected turns, and making every second half count.
